I wrote this song in the middle of the BP gulf oil disaster, when it was unclear whether we could stop the oil escaping miles below the oceans surface. At this point I really began to get serious about writing Planetary Music". See full song info

Emotional stories of where we are, what's at stake, and where we're headed... This IS the MOMENT people... when our species will either Stand UP... or perish...
I'm a fellow human on planet earth who feels music touches the soul... spirit... the emotional chord... deep within us. We are at a critical moment... The Nexus point... How we respond will determine whether we will continue

Story behind the song
I first sent this song to Alex Smith, the creator, producer, and one man army responsible for a world-wide radio program emanating out of Vancouver, BC in Canada. When he told me he wanted to use the song I finally began putting the time in that was necessary to learn and use all the creative tools at my disposal. This song aired in July 2010 and was the beginning of this new phase in my life. Alex has been a great inspiration to me, seeing his endless devotion to educating people world wide about Climate Change and our need to deal with it. He was the first to convey my own belief that “music” opens the mind to receive uncomfortable but crucial information we'd rather deny. He has single handedly inspired me to do what I am doing today. This song has some timing flaws I still need to correct and I hope that at some point I can learn how to use the power of Sonar 8.5's audio snap tools to correct them... but for now, I'm posting it, flaws and all; it is full of angst, dismay, and anger...which is appropriate to the situation... and ends with a plea that has become a feature of many songs I am now writing: “Go Solar... before it's too late...”
Lyrics
Corporate Catastrophe Oil is a comin from      deep down below Fishies & shrimpies have     nowhere to go Can't seem to stop it       it's out of control Corporate catastrophe is running the show. 5000 feet under       where humans  can't go  We've punctured a hole    into what we don't.know  And oil is escaping      all over the place  Is this the beginning?     The end of our race? 4 to 6 billion barrels down there...      Oh no what will we do?  4 to 6 billion barrels down there...  What will it do...  WWID?  how do we stop it? (thats a good question) how do we stop it?  (we didn't think of that)  Corporate catastrophe  It's a corporate catastrophe... CC  CC CC.  It's a CC  All their lies bout safety for years & years Everything that's happened was beyond our worst fears and it came true, came true... so,  what's chu gonna do, what's chu gonna do? it's a corporate catastrophe...CC CC  CC CC Cc its a cc  we'v been killing the ocean... its gone on... for awhile can we stop it?   It's looking quite bad.... While the Sun waits above... oh, it makes me so mad.... There's 4 to 6 billion barrels down there 4 to 6 billion barrels of oil down there...  Pressurized like a   hot air balloon....     KaBoom... Go Solar, man.... Use the sun... before it's too late
